Two big announcements!

Introducing "Lonesome Holiday" - a collection of standards, originals & covers of Christmas songs, done in our spooky indie western style. Sad and slow, the perfect Christmas album for this shit show year, with an occasional upbeat song to dance nostalgically by the fire. Pre-order vinyl at http://store.murderbydeath.com/ - barring pandemic delays we expect them to show up to you mid December, but you'll get a download on December 1st either way. It will be available digitally on December 1st as well at https://murderbydeath.bandcamp.com/ and most other digital venues. We're also selling new t-shirts, hats, and a reissue of the Finch EP (a soundtrack to Jeff Vandermeer's book) on vinyl individually and in bundles.
In addition to the Christmas album, we're doing a Patreon to get us through the dark timez, as this was something many of you have suggested. It'll be fun! Lots of art, old school stuff, music lessons, stuff about our process, performances, etc. If you sign up for the Patreon, you'll be messaged a $5 discount for the Christmas merch! Since we have a lot more time on our hands from not playing shows, it gave us an opportunity to dig out some stuff from the archives, and take time to tell some stories from the 20+ years of Murder by Death. We understand we are not the only people put out right now but we want to express how fortunate we are to have folks supporting us right now and thank you for even considering spending your dough on these goodies and patreon type things.
In other statements that can be filed under obvious, all touring is completely up in the air for now but we look forward to playing all shows we have previously announced at some point in the future once it is safe for everyone. Keep an eye on our website for updates.

That said, there are VERY limited tickets available for a couple of the Stanley shows, and the Friday Cave show, we are shooting for May 2021.

Kickstarter Backers from May's Apocalypse Rummage Sale who bought the SSE vinyl will be getting our next full length album of originals, (whenever that comes out) not the Christmas record.
